Combining genetic algorithm and Sinc-Galerkin method for solving an inverse diffusion problem
(Işık University Press, 2017)A numerical approach combining the use of a genetic algorithm with the solution of the Sinc-Galerkin method is proposed for the determination of an unknown time-dependent diffusivity a(t) in an inverse diffusion problem ... -
Coincidence and common fixed point theorems for faintly compatible maps
(Işık University Press, 2017)The paper is aimed to generalize and improve the results of Bisht and Shahzad [Faintly compatible mappings and common fixed points, fixed point theory and applications, 2013, 2013:156]. The significance of this paper lies ... -
Common coupled fixed point theorem under weak ? ? ? contraction for hybrid pair of mappings with application
(Işık University Press, 2017)We establish a common coupled fixed point theorem for hybrid pair of mappings under weak ? ? ? contraction on a non-complete metric space, which is not partially ordered. It is to be noted that to find coupled coincidence ... -
G-(F; ? )-contractions in partial rectangular metric spaces endowed wıth a graph and fixed point theorems
(Işık University Press, 2016-06-22)In this paper, the notion of G-(F, ? )-contractions in the context of partial rectangular metric spaces endowed with a graph is introduced. Some fixed point theorems for G-(F, ? )-contractions are also proved. The results ... -
About an algorithm of function approximation by the linear splines
(Işık University Press, 2016-05-05)The actual application for the problem of best approximation of grid function by linear splines was formulated. A mathematical model and a method for its solution were developed. Complexity of the problem was that it was ... -
On certain topological indices of the derived graphs of subdivision graphs
(Işık University Press, 2016-03-11)The derived graph [G]† of a graph G is the graph having the same vertex set as G, with two vertices of [G]† being adjacent if and only if their distance in G is two. Topological indices are valuable in the study of QSAR/QSPR. ... -
On the construction of general solution of the generalized sylvester equation
(Işık University Press, 2017)The problem of construction the general solution of the generalized matrix Sylvester equation is considered. Conditions of existence of solution of this equation are obtained and the algorithm for construction of this ... -
Some results on the distance r-b-coloring in graphs
(Işık University Press, 2016)Given a positive integer r, two vertices u, v ? V (G) are r- independent if d(u, v) > r. A partition of V (G) into r-independent sets is called a distance r-coloring. A study of distance r-coloring and distance r-b-coloring ... -
Stability of a functional equation in complex banach spaces
(Işık University Press, 2016-03-14)Using fixed point technique, in the present paper , we wish to examine generalization of the Hyers-Ulam-Rassias stability theorem for the functional equations f ( 2 x + i y ) + f ( x + 2 i y ) = 4 f ( x + i y ) + f ( x ) ... -
On a sum form functional equation
(Işık University Press, 2016-02-29)The general solutions of a sum form functional equation containing two unknown mappings, without imposing any regularity condition on them, have been obtained. -
Hub-integrity of splitting graph and duplication of graph elements
(Işık University Press, 2016-01-08)The hub-integrity of a graph G = (V (G), E(G)) is denoted as HI(G) and defined by HI(G) = min{|S| + m(G ? S), S is a hub set of G}, where m(G ? S) is the order of a maximum component of G ? S. In this paper, we discuss ... -
Existence of positive solutions for a coupled system of higher order fractional boundary value problems
(Işık University Press, 2016)The aim of this paper is to establish the existence of at least one positive solution for a coupled system of higher order two-point fractional order boundary value problems under suitable conditions. The approach is based ... -
Solving fractional-order competitive lotka-volterra model by nsfd schemes
(Işık University Press, 2016-03-23)In this paper, we introduce fractional-order into a model competitive LotkaVolterra prey-predator system. We will discuss the stability analysis of this fractional system. The non-standard finite difference (NSFD) scheme ... -
Necessary and sufficient conditions for the wave packet frames on positive half-line
(Işık University Press, 2016-04-22)In this paper, we consider wave packet systems as special cases of generalized shift-invariant systems, a concept studied by Hern´andez, Lebate and Weiss. The objective of the paper is to construct wave packet frames on ... -
Antimagic labeling of the union of subdivided stars
(Işık University Press, 2016-02-22)Enomoto et al. (1998) defined the concept of a super (a, 0)-edge-antimagic total labeling and proposed the conjecture that every tree is a super (a, 0)-edge-antimagic total labeling. In support of this conjecture, the ... -
Existence and uniqueness of tripled fixed points for mixed monotone operators with perturbations and application
(Işık University Press, 2016)In this article, we get the existence and uniqueness of tripled fixed points without assuming the operator to be compact or continuous, which extends the existing corresponding results. As applications, we utilize the ... -
A weighted goal programming approach to fuzzy linear regression with quasi type-2 fuzzy input-output data
(Işık University Press, 2016)This study attempts to develop a regression model when both input data and output data are quasi type-2 fuzzy numbers. To estimate the crisp parameters of the regression model, a linear programming model is proposed based ... -
