Linear retrial inventory system with second optional service under mixed priority service
(Işık University Press, 2015)The present paper deals with a generalization of the homogeneous single server finite source retrial inventory system with two classes of customers - one with high priority customer and the other with low priority customer. ... -
Computational complexity of domination integrity in graphs
(Işık University Press, 2015)In a graph G, those dominating sets S which give minimum value for |S| + m(G?S), where m(G?S) denotes the maximum order of a component of G?S, are called dominating integrity sets of G (briefly called DI-sets of G). This ... -
Extensions of Kannan's fixed point results
(Işık University Press, 2015)In this article, we essentially proved some fixed point results for contractive maps type in quasi-pseudometric spaces. The presented theorems are formulated in an asymmetric setting and therefore generalize some existing ... -
On the hadamard product of balancing matrix and balancing matrix
(Işık University Press, 2015)In this paper, the matrix QnB ? Q?nB which is the Hadamard product of both balancing QnB matrix and balancing Q?nB matrix is introduced. Some properties of the Hadamard product of these matrices are investigated. A different ... -
Monomial geometric programming with fuzzy relation equation constraints regarding max-bounded difference composition operator
(Işık University Press, 2015)In this paper, an optimization model with an objective function as monomial subject to a system of the fuzzy relation equations with max-bounded difference (maxBD) composition operator is presented. We firstly determine ... -
An intelligent decision support tool for early diagnosis of functional pituitary adenomas
(Işık University Press, 2015)In this work, a web based integrated Medical Decision Support System (MDSS) tool for mainly early diagnosis of functional pituitary adenomas (i.e., somatotrophinoma, corticotrophinoma and prolactinoma) is developed. In the ... -
New results on cyclic nonlinear contractions in partial metric spaces
(Işık University Press, 2015)In this paper we study the concept of non-linear cyclic Kannan and Chatterjea contractions in partial metric spaces and we prove some new theorems on fixed point for these types of mappings extending some fixed point ... -
The generalized Hahn polynomials
(Işık University Press, 2015)In this paper, we represent the generalized Hahn polynomials ?(a)n (x, y) by the Cauchy operator for deriving its identities: generating function, Mehler’s formula, Rogers formula (with some of its applications), Rogers-type ... -
Similar ruled surfaces with variable transformations in minkowski 3-space E3 1
(Işık University Press, 2015)In this study, we consider the notion of similar ruled surface for timelike and spacelike ruled surfaces in Minkowski 3-space E31. We obtain some properties of these special surfaces in E31 and show that developable ruled ... -
Study of the first boundary value problem for a fourth order parabolic equation in a nonregular domain of
(Işık University Press, 2015)This paper is concerned with the extension of solvability results obtained for a fourth order parabolic equation, set in a nonregular domain of R3 obtained in [1], to the case where the domain is cylindrical, not with ... -
Shadow of operators on frames
(Işık University Press, 2015)Aldroubi introduced two methods for generating frames of a Hilbert space H. In one of his method, one approach is to construct frames for H which are images of a given frame for H under T ? B (H, H), a collection of all ... -
Modified differential transform method for singular lane-emden equations in integer and fractional order
(Işık University Press, 2015)In the present work the modified differential transform method, incorporating the Adomian polynomials into the differential transform method(DTM), is used to solve the nonlinear and singular Lane-Emden equations in integer ... -
Distance majorization sets in graphs
(Işık University Press, 2015)Let G = (V, E) be a simple graph. A subset D of V (G) is said to be a distance majorization set (or dm - set) if for every vertex u ? V ? D, there exists a vertex v ? D such that d(u, v) ? deg(u) + deg(v). The minimum ... -
Codes correcting key errors
(Işık University Press, 2015)The objective of coding theory is to protect a message going through a noisy channel. The nature of errors that cause noisy channel depends on different factors. Accordingly codes are needed to develop to deal with different ... -
Solvability of second order delta-nabla p-laplacian m-point eigenvalue problem on time scales
(Işık University Press, 2015)In this paper, we are concerned with the following eigenvalue problem of m-point boundary value problem for p-Laplacian dynamic equation on time scales, (?p(u?(t)))? + ?h(t)f(u(t)) = 0, t ? [a, b]T’ u(a) ? u?(a) = ... -
Lower and upper solutions for general two-point fractional order boundary value problems
(Işık University Press, 2015)This paper establishes the existence of a positive solution of fractional order two-point boundary value problem, Dq1a+ y(t) + f(t, y(t)) = 0, t ? [a, b], y(a) = 0, y?(a) = 0, ?Dq2a+ y(b) ? ?Dq3a+ y(a) = 0, where Dqia+ , ... -
Graphs with equal domination and independent domination number
(Işık University Press, 2015)A set S of vertices of a graph G is an independent dominating set of G if S is an independent set and every vertex not in S is adjacent to a vertex in S. The independent domination number of G, denoted by i(G), is the ... -
Weak convergence theorem for the ergodic distribution of a random walk with normal distributed interference of chance
(Işık University Press, 2015)In this study, a semi-Markovian random walk process (X(t)) with a discrete interference of chance is investigated. Here, it is assumed that the ?n, n = 1, 2, 3, ..., which describe the discrete interference of chance are ... -
Derivative free multilevel optimization
(Işık University Press, 2015)Optimization problems with different levels arise by discretization of ordinary and partial differential equations. We present a trust-region based derivative-free multilevel optimization algorithm. The performance of the ...
