Modified Newton method in Riemannian manifolds

Abstract

In this article, we present the semilocal convergence analysis of the modified Newton method in Riemannian manifolds. We establish the Newton–Kantorovich convergence theorem for the modified Newton method in Riemannian manifolds by using majorizing function. Finally, two numerical examples are given to show the application of our theorem.
